Blood orange or sanguinella essential oil had never been highly prized in perfumery. But here our story crosses that of Ditta Capua, which has represented Italian excellence in the extraction of citrus essences since 1880, and everything changes. Capua, who shares perfume with us as a family passion, has developed a two-step extraction method. It is one of those hidden masterpieces that shines here and there, especially in southern Italy, and it deserves to be told. First the rind-only essential oil is extracted, brown and concentrated; then, when ripeness is at its peak, it is the turn of the whole fruit, which is pressed, passed through a sfumatorchio extractor, and finally centrifuged to separate the essential oil from the juice. Our Sicilian Orange was born this way, as a perfect idealization of a symbolic fruit that gathers in itself the sun, colors and scent of the island on a spring morning. To allow you to fully feel not only the sweetness, but also the energy that comes from the deep layers of the earth , we have placed Musk and Amber in the heart and, to finish, an intense aroma of Coffee Absolute.
