To begin with, the value and use of cocoa by the Aztecs also has nothing to do with ours. Exciting and spicy, Xolocolatl was a potion reserved for kings, to whom it bestowed wisdom and power equal to that of the gods. To recreate the magical Central American world, we started again with the cacao tree and its brown beans. We added spices and rum. Scents of earth and desert. Dense, liqueur-like notes. The result is a fragrance that takes hold of us, bringing at least a little of that lost magic into our everyday lives.
